Inspired by the fading Rajasthani puppet art, this project revives traditional storytelling through a typographic wall-hanging collectible. It visually narrates the timeless phrase: “Ek tha raja, ek thi raani, dono mar gaye, khatam kahani". The project piece is a Interactable-foldable wall art, inspired by Rajasthan’s Kavad art. When opened like window gates, it reveals a story waiting to be told.

The King Katputli is suspended by strings, adorned with motifs of Rajasthani buildings and houses, and dressed in vibrant, colorful attire.
Draped in similarly vibrant attire, the Queen Katputli is also suspended by strings, gazing at the city through a window.

The breaking strings hold a symbolic meaning, the art is now lost. With the strings severed, the story remains untold, and the ancient craft of storytelling fades into oblivion.

The King and Queen Katputli rest atop a pile of lost, lifeless katputlis, now just like any other. With the art lost, their purpose fades, leaving them abandoned and forgotten.
